Mora Owens

Mora Owens supports the professional learning of teacher residents, mentors, and graduates, specializing in elementary literacy. Prior to joining BPE, Ms. Owens was a literacy coach in the Cambridge Public Schools. She was responsible for implementing a comprehensive school-wide literacy program. She modeled best practices which used literacy-based learning strategies and coached teachers on how to enhance student's literacy skills. In addition, she provided professional development for the K-2 team at her school. During her time in Cambridge, Ms. Owens was also a mentor teacher and supported those in their first year of teaching. She has taught in both Cambridge and Boston.
