Boston Public Schools, in partnership with the Boston Plan for Excellence (BPE), has unveiled a new tool aimed at giving Boston high school students a real-time look at their academic progress that shows if they are on track to graduate.

The colorful, two-page tool is tailored for each student and draws from multiple existing data sources, such class schedules, grade point average, attendance, MCAS performance, credits earned, and course requirements remaining. Updated regularly, the report demystifies the path to graduation by allowing students and their families to easily understand if they are on track to graduate. Much of this data has not been readily accessible to students before; it was not uncommon for students to be unsure of what grade they were actually in.
