Recently, BTR has been initiated several studies to gain more information about the effectiveness of our graduates, using emerging methodologies to identify what we are doing well and where we can improve. This memo summarizes the results to date and describes changes underway at BTR that are guided by these data.
Boston Teacher Residency (BTR) is one of 49 finalists (out of over 1,700 applicants) for the Investing in Innovation (i3) federal grant initiative. After securing matching funds, BTR will be eligible to receive $4.8M over four years to build on its successful teacher preparation and support model, supplying Boston's turnaround schools with a cadre of excellent teachers.
